Gregory Thain has always taken the matter of Health & Safety very seriously resulting in a very low accident statistics over the years, the company has received no improvement notices or prohibition notices.

It is the company’s ethos that Health & Safety is as major a consideration as profit and turnover. Good client relationships can only be maintained through a well trained, safe and motivated workforce.

Every effort is therefore given to ensuring that the workforce considers they have ownership of the safety systems of the company. This is achieved by consultation, training, encouraging accident and incident reporting and setting targets. The company also produces construction phase health and safety plans, method statements, risk assessments, C.O.S.H.H. assessments etc. for safe site working.

All our sites are visited regularly by a safety consultancy company which carries out site monitoring and on site training in the use of hand tools. Following every visit a full report is issued, sometimes indicating where improvements can be made; we address these improvements immediately. We are also approved by the health and safety organisations Exor, Chas and Constructionline.

The company fully complies with the Health and Safety at work act 1974, and other relevant legislation and meets the standard required to protect all our employees and sub-contractors who under take work on our behalf.
